MERSMERS-COV (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome- Corona Virus) is an infectious disease that is rampaging its way into different countries through unsuspecting infected people traveling from the middle east. So far MERS-COV have taken more than 150 lives and affecting more than 5 countries. The World Health Organization considered MERS-COV as a threat to the world. Since we do not know who is infected with MERS-COV, therefore it is better to know how to protect ourselves from acquiring the disease.

Avoid Crowded Places – The more you are expose to crowded places the higher the chance that you will be exposed to the virus. We don’t know how many people in the crowd have the virus with them. So as a precautionary measure limit your exposure to crowded places.

Boost Your Immune System – Taking vitamins and minerals will considerably boost your immune system. Our body’s immune system need these elements to properly develop and get rid of infections.

Sleep Early And Avoid Sleep Deprivation – Depriving yourself of sleep will also deprive your body of the time it needs to heal and rest. The more you deprive yourself of sleep your body’s immune system will also degenerate.

Wear Mask – If you feel like getting sick or someone in the office is sick with flu like symptoms do not be ashamed to protect yourself or your co-workers by simply wearing a mask.

Proper Diet and Nutrition – Your body needs food to carry out its daily routine of healing and replenishing your body with essential nutrients. So do not deprive your body of what it needs by skipping meals.

Always Wash Your Hands – Washing your hands is the single most effective way of preventing the spread of microorganism. Make it a daily habit to wash your hands before eating.
